Can My Genes Be Making Me Overweight?

There are many reasons proposed for our society becoming more overweight than ever before.

The commonest explanation is that people are overeating because they have more refined, energy dense foods easily available and requiring little physical effort to access.

The other consideration is that people are not moving and exercising as much, due to increased sedentary employment and entertainments that are clearly less effort. Once people become overweight, they feel less like exercising and so the situation worsens.
