Adults and adolescents with mild to moderate asthma should now always have their budesonide/formoterol puffer on hand rather than the traditional salbutamol, according to the latest evidence-based guidelines

“The advice that adults with mild asthma can and should take the inhaled corticosteroid and fast-acting LABA combination on an as-needed basis to effectively control their symptoms represents a dramatic change in clinical practice, ” says Professor Christine Jenkins, Head of the Respiratory Group at the George Institute for Global Health.
