– To date the adverse reaction rates to the Pfizer and AZ vaccines have been very low, efficacy is high especially after the second dose
– Long term safety data and use in some groups e.g pregnant women, the immunocompromised are lacking, we still don’t know about the impact on transmission

– Intra nasal and oral formulations are being developed for future use
– Boosters can be engineered quite easily to deal with variants
– Social distancing, use of face masks and hand washing remains critically important
