Healthed and the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) have joined forces to bring you this authoritative resource. Developed in response to direct requests from GPs, this masterclass is aimed at addressing the key issues and knowledge gaps that GPs want assistance with. ASCIA members who are leading educators present updates on the most common topics encountered in primary care. Topics include allergy testing, food allergies, anaphylaxis, urticaria, eczema, rhinitis, asthma and dust mites. The experts are leading clinicians who will deliver practically useful, up-to-date, authoritative guidance on what to do about the common issues that health practitioners will face in their practice.

This masterclass will continually evolve to bring you the latest insights and updates in the field of allergy and immunology! With each new module you’ll access fresh content that will help you stay ahead of the curve.

Featuring leading experts who will deliver practical, up-to-date, authoritative guidance about common allergy issues.

Content developed in consultation with the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA)

Part 1: Allergy Testing, Rhinitis and ASCIA Resources

Part 1 of the masterclass explores practical allergy testing for GPs, addresses allergic rhinosinusitis and its impact on quality of life, and highlights ASCIA’s often-overlooked but valuable resources for allergic conditions.

Part 2: Thunderstorm Asthma, Urticaria and the Allergic Rhinitis-Asthma Connection

Part 2 is aimed at providing GPs with authoritative, practical information on key topics in allergy management. This module covers thunderstorm asthma, urticaria, and the rhinitis-asthma connection.

Part 3: Anaphylaxis Management in the GP Setting, Teenagers and Anaphylaxis, Dust Mite Allergies

In Part 3, GPs will learn to promptly identify and manage anaphylaxis, effectively diagnose and treat dust mite allergy, and support young people with food allergies by promoting risk reduction, anaphylaxis preparedness, and self-management. This includes understanding treatment options, implementing preventive strategies, and providing ongoing patient education and follow-up care.
